Lilliput Lab

The Lilliput Lab project, winner of the CRC Culture da Vivere Foundation’s call for proposals, aims to help make seven museums in the Cuneo area key points for the cultural and social growth of children and families in the area. The new Lilliputian museums are: Pontebernardo Eco-museum of Shepherding, Borgata Paraloup Museum of tales, Mudri – Museo diffuso of Rittana, Municipal Museum of Cuneo, Diocesan Museum of San Sebastiano, Albertino Fort of Vinadio, Filatoio Rosso of Caraglio.

The first phase of Lilliput Lab was an intensive four-day capacity building course dedicated to the museum operators of the seven museums involved, curated by the multidisciplinary team of Lilliput. The residential course was held at the Borgata Paraloup, and included frontal training activities and workshops with co-design work tables. The seven participating museums were then invited to analyse their own context and acknowledge each other’s realities and skills, in a network perspective, to lead to the co-design of a programme of Lilliputian events dedicated to many children and their families. The summer review on this theme is entitled ‘It’s not what it seems – 7 events for families in 7 museums in the Cuneo area’.
