Talking about borders in the Stura Valley means narrating the territory, the mountains, the roads, the meadows. It means telling the story of the migratory routes of men and women in search of a better life, of sheep farming, transhumance and smuggling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LUCA PRESTIA (Turin, 1971). He graduated in Modern History at the University of Turin, where he obtained a PhD in the same discipline. A freelance journalist from 2000 to 2015, he currently works as an editorial consultant and cultural planner in the field of photography, as well as being a member of the National Association of Professional Photographers and communications manager for Emmaus Italia ONLUS. He collaborates with newspapers and magazines in Italy and abroad, including &#8216;Corriere della Sera&#8217;, &#8216;pagina99&#8217;, &#8216;L&#8217;Espresso&#8217;, &#8216;Let&#8217;s Explore Magazine&#8217;, &#8216;Lumo Mag&#8217; and &#8216;Artwork&#8217;. Moreover, he is author of photoreportages in Burkina Faso, Kosovo, Macedonia, Greece and Bosnia. For a while now his photographic research has focused mainly on the landscape and its relationship with the mobility of people and with migration processes. His photos have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions and are part of several volumes published in Italy.
